Derrick!
Woowee is the first word that pops to mind when I think back on the evening at the Boathouse. Everything was so beautiful - I can't count on my fingers and toes how many people have told me how spectacular it was. And such a huge part of that was the fact that it was lit so magnificently.
You and your crew were so thorough, professional and did the job to perfection - a true pleasure to work with. Your creativity in pin lighting the arrangements, lighting all the surprise celebrity guests, the rocks outside, etc. made for a spectacular evening. Please pass on my appreciation and commendation to everyone involved!
Also, thank you for your generosity in the pricing. I know what a huge expense lighting is and we are all aware of the extraordinary favor you did for Newman's Own.

Dear Derrick,
Another opening, another show... The 26th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival Gala was Another unbelievable event! Despite the wind and other elements at the start, "An Evening with Cole Porter" was utterly entertaining and a wonderful success, and the Cherry Blossom Festival itself - from opening day on April 14th to the April 21st close- was attended by thousands.

Dear Derrick,
I can't begin to thank you enough for your hard work on Max's Bar Mitzvah. The lighting and visual effects were just incredible. Even if I had not had any other decoration, the tent would have still looked fabulous thanks to you. I also must mention how awesome your crew was. Maurice and the guys had a very challenging set up, yet there wasn't a single complaint from any of them. They are truly the most dedicated and professional crew I had ever seen. On a personal note Derrick, I must thank you for your friendship and support throughout the entire process. Your advice and encouragement truly kept me going at the toughest moments and allowed me to shine at the event. You took no credit for any of it, but I know how crucial your input was. Dear Derrick,
Well, the events of Get Organized New York are behind us and I have to say the success we experienced was beyond my wildest dreams. Your team at Derrick Roberts Productions was instrumental in making the project a winner by every measure.
Back in May when I took on the GONY effort for Time Inc. and Real Simple, I hoped no one would ask me if this was actually "doable". I would have had to answer, "I really don't know!"
Fortunately, that question never came up and we were lucky enough to put together a marvelous group of dedicated professionals like you who saw the possibilities here and simply made things happen!
The dinner at the new space at Jazz at Lincoln Center was a standout that set a perfect tone for the rest of the weekend. I know that our guests felt privileged to be there and share in the magnificence of the night you helped create.
GONY generated $500,000 for the Fund for Public Schools and created a media platform that drove citywide awareness about the needs of our 1.1 million public school children. I am very proud of what was accomplished and I want to go on record that it could not have been done without you and your team.
Again, Derrick, thank you. Your dedication, professionalism and support is so appreciated. You helped make an entirely challenging project a pure pleasure to work on and that is a rarity in this world of ours!
