| DRP utilized the full expanse of the ballroom space for a series of intelligent lighting instruments to create a "Starry Night" of soft, blue hues washing over the center tables. Each of the 86 tables had a centerpiece lit with strategically placed pinspots. The dance floor and far wall were washed with a "star" pattern, which also illuminated the head table. The seating was covered with white coverlets that accentuated the intimate nocturnal design of the event. Back to top |

DRP constructed a sky tracker allowing the use of dramatic uplighting; powerful beams of vertical light that created a dynamic impression when entering the building. LED uplighting also lit the outer façade of the Library. Pin beams spotlighted the elegant floral décor of the 45 table centerpieces. Specific museum pieces, such as the Brooklyn Eagle, were given special lighting effects. The special constructed stage was given a color wash, as was the speakers' acrylic lectern. |

DRP provided technical facilitation, including 2 reversa screens, 4 NEC Plasma monitors with video distribution amplifiers and a contoured acrylic lectern. In addition, two operators with hand held cameras were engaged to project live images onto the reversa screens flanking the stage. Even though this was an afternoon function in a naturally lit space, supportive ambient lighting was utilized to wash flattering colors onto the bars and buffets within the space. |
